Indie pop quartet Fickle Friends sign to Cooking Vinyl

Cooking Vinyl has just announced a new signing with Fickle Friends to a worldwide artist services deal, following the success of their major label released debut top 10 album (#9) ‘You Are Someone Else’, which has amassed over 100 million streams across digital streaming platforms and was followed by a sold out 10-date headline UK tour in October 2018, including Shepherds Bush Empire in London.

On the new signing, Rob Collins, Cooking Vinyl MD, said “I couldn’t be happier about signing Fickle Friends.  The new material is incredibly strong and the band are wiser, stronger and are perfect for global audiences now”.

The band started working on the new album at the start of 2019 and have been able to devote the past 6 months purely to creating the record, instead of having to fit it around a tight recording and touring schedule.

Fickle Friends said of the new record, “It feels like a real progression musically and conceptually from the last album”. On signing to Cooking Vinyl the band stated “We’re incredibly excited to sign to Cooking Vinyl and embark on the next chapter in our career with them. We can’t wait to get the new music out there with a really motivated new team, who carry similar global ambitions”.
